Music is essentially the soundtrack of life, so it wasn’t surprising when DJ Kidd Swag wanted to mix and blend with the best of them. Today you can find a DJ living on almost every block in NY, whether it’s for fun, career or the art. So for DJ Kidd Swag trying to make a name for herself didn’t come easy, not only is she a female in a male dominated field but she is amongst the many other female DJs in the lesbian community. Male or female, Dj Kidd Swag’s talent sets her far apart from any of her competition, hands down. But who is DJ Kidd Swag, you ask?

She is a family oriented, hard working individual. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She attended Cardinal Spellman High School, one of the most accredited high schools in New York and graduated top of her class with a basketball scholarship to Notre Dame. After having serious injuries to her shoulder she had to leave the team, not by choice but circumstance.  She then transferred to Morgan State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business Administration.

While at Morgan State she took interest in learning to DJ, but it wasn’t until she moved back to NY that she made that dream a reality. In 2008, her best friend who works at a popular NY radio station (Hot 97) showed her the technical aspects of DJing and with that she began her process of mastering the art. From that night until now, Kidd Swag has rocked every lesbian club and worked with every lesbian promoter known to man. Her bookings are coming in months in advance and her name is coming up in many states. She has rocked out numerous clubs in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut, Atlanta, Baltimore, DC, New Jersey and of course New York.
